Lo-Vel® 6000 is a synthetic, amorphous silicon dioxide flatting agent that is designed for use where a Hegman value of 5 to 6 is required. The combination of high flatting at low use levels and ease of incorporation delivers expanded formulation flexibility.

TexMATTE 6005 is a cross-linked polymethyl methacrylate product.

PEL-SIL™ CL330 is a silicone-based additive consisting of a siloxane backbone and polyethylene-oxide (EO) side chains. It is stable in neutral or mildly acid or alkaline aqueous solutions. The EO component gives PEL-SIL™ CL330 coatings additive its compatibility with water-borne systems. PEL-SIL™ CL330 has excellent wetting and recoatability. It can be used at low dosage levels. PEL-SIL™ CL330 can be recommended for use as a leveling and wetting agent in water-borne paints and coatings in automotive, transportation, construction and aerospace industries. It can also be used in solvent-based and high solid/UV curable coatings as leveling agent. For polyurethane foam coatings, PEL-SIL™ CL330 acts a surfactant and foam cell stabilizer. It is not compatible on the isocyanate side and must be added with the polyol. It exhibits excellent compatibility with most polyol premixes.

CeraSPERSE 171 is a synthetic wax compounded in refined linseed oil. Shamrock’s CeraSPERSE products are manufactured using a controlled crystallization process that allows the production of 1 micron wax dispersions. These wax compounds have a translucent appearance with a shiny gloss and a creamy feel. In addition to our standard products, Shamrock can develop and produce a wide range of compounds on a make-to-order basis.

S-375 is a synthetic wax with a DSC peak melt around 100°C and the corresponding low onset of melting. Shamrock’s product line of micronized waxes provides rub and abrasion resistance. Included in this line are products that provide gloss, matting, clarity, and controlled slip in a range of particle sizes.

S-400-Q is a micronized EBS (ethylene bissteramide) wax powder showing melting peaks ranging from 108 – 146°C. Shamrock’s product line of micronized waxes provides rub and abrasion resistance. SST®-2 is a white low MW PTFE micropowder with particle size distribution at a mean value of 8 µm. SST®-2 products are Shamrock’s PTFE micropowders that are defined by particle size and distribution, molecular weight, crystallinity, surface area, oil adsorption, powder flow, and color. Made primarily from highly controlled recycled PTFE feedstocks, SST® products are used for their ability to produce slip, nonstick, water repellency, texture, release, rub, and abrasion resistance to surfaces.

Sunspheres™ 200 Nm are optically clear, solid fused amorphous microspheres designed for use in a wide variety of coatings, inks, adhesives, powder coatings, and thermoplastics, including UV curable compositions. These sub-micron sized spheres can be used to improve physical and mechanical properties including reduced shrinkage, improved adhesion, impact resistance, and enhanced surface qualities such as hardness, mar and scratch resistance. The average particle size is 200 nanometers and range in size from about 50 nm to 500 nm.

S-381-N5 is a modified, micronized blend of natural and synthetic wax that has a uniform melting range peaking at 91°C. Sunspacers™ 04.X are finely divided, optically clear, solid fused amorphous silica micronized powders. This product is specially engineered for paints, liquid and powder coatings, inks, adhesives, and thermoplastics, including UV curable compositions. These micronized powders increase corrosion resistance, reduce shrinkage, improve adhesion, and enhance surface qualities including abrasion, mar and scratch resistance. Sunspacers™ 04.X have a median particle size of approximately 3-4 microns, with a particle size range of 0.5 microns to 13 microns.

SPP-10 is a low molecular weight polypropylene texturing agent. The SPP Series consists of polypropylene powders in a controlled range of particle sizes. These products are stir-in powders that can be easily dispersed under high-speed mixing in solvent, UV, or water-based inks & coatings.

Cured films show enhanced physical and mechanical properties including increased corrosion resistance, reduced shrinkage, improved adhesion, and enhanced surface qualities such as mar and scratch resistance. This product is particularly useful in improving impact resistance. The average particle size is 200 nanometers and range in size from 50 to 500 nm.

S-363 is a synthetic wax alloy showing melting peaks ranging from 92 – 141°C. Shamrock’s product line of micronized waxes provide rub and abrasion resistance. Included in this line are products that provide gloss, matting, clarity, and controlled slip in a range of particle sizes.

Optically clear, solid fused amorphous silica microspheres specially engineered for optimum dispersion in paints, coatings, inks, adhesives, and thermoplastics, including UV curable compositions. These microspheres increase corrosion and impact resistance, reduce shrinkage, improve adhesion, and enhance surface qualities including mar and scratch resistance. Ideally suited for specialty applications where mechanical and rheological properties are required. Median particle size of 3 to 4 microns, with a particle size range of 0.5 microns to 92% passing 22 microns.

DISPARLON® L-1980N is silicone-free acrylic polymer surface control agent for high polarity solventborne systems. Recommended for use in polyester/melamine and urethane coatings and in unsaturated polyester applications for leveling and defoaming properties.
