Orient Corporation of America was established in Port Newark, New Jersey in 1979 as the leading manufacturer of Nigrosine Dye in the Western Hemisphere. Our parent company, Orient Chemical Industries Co., Ltd., is located in Osaka, Japan and was founded in 1917.

Orient Corporation of America moved its manufacturing operations to Seaford, Delaware in 1991. This is one of the world’s most technologically advanced manufacturing sites for the production of Nigrosine Dye. In 2007, Orient opened a state-of-the-art R&D facility at our manufacturing site in Seaford, Delaware.
