Products in Can Coatings: Corrosion Inhibitor

HALOX® 650 is an organic corrosion inhibitor primarily designed for coatings and primers on metal surfaces. It is specifically formulated for use in solvent-borne or powder-coating applications to provide long-term corrosion protection. HALOX® 650 can be used in a variety of applications, including coil coatings, resins such as thermoplastic acrylics or epoxies, powder coating systems such as polyester or TGIC, acid-catalyzed thermosetting systems such as melamine or urea-formaldehyde, and wash (etch) primers based on PVB.

Waynflash™ 111 is a liquid flash rust inhibitor which contains sodium nitrite as part of its flash rust inhibition matrix. It is a highly effective inhibitor for the flash rusting on ferrous substrates during aqueous paint phase. It has also proven to be affective in preventing in can rusting. Typical used levels range from 0.25 – 1.0% max. based upon total formula weight. It is highly versatile and can be used in any water based systems. Waynflash™ 111 exhibits good paint stability and can be incorporated at any stage of paint manufacturing. It is both HAPS and APEO free.

ProHere® P 00902 - An additive provides corrosion resistance and metal adhesion when used in can and coil, die lubes and industrial maintenance applications. The resulting coating may be removed by alkaline cleaners.

AB RUST® CH4 is designed to offer a flash-rust inhibitor. It is easy to use with the largest compatibility with the traditional binders used in water based coatings, very efficient at low dosage (< 0.5% in acrylic based formulations), and usable everywhere in the world thanks to the listing of its components in the world chemical inventories.

RAYBO 60 NoRust is a versatile and extremely effective flash rust inhibitor. It contains both vapor phase and contact corrosion inhibitors. As a result, RAYBO 60 prevents flash rusting in latex systems intended for direct to metal application. It also provides corrosion protection to unlined cans.
