KURARAY POVAL™ 32-80 by Kuraray is a biodegradable and recyclable polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) having varying degree of polymerization and hydrolysis. It is a water-soluble polymer manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It has good bonding strength and pigment binding capacity because PVAs have good cohesion and good adhesion to fibers, fillers as well as pigments. It possesses excellent film forming characteristics, high tensile strength and elasticity, as well as resistance against organic solvents and dispersing power. It is used in a similar manner as natural products such as casein as well as starch and its degraded derivatives (for example dextrin) as raw material to produce aqueous adhesive solution. For the modification of aqueous adhesives its aqueous solution can be added to polymer emulsions already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol which affects the extension of the open time, increase of the setting speed and influence on the rheology. KURARAY POVAL™ 32-80 is used in producing silicon-based paper that are further used as release paper for PSA labels and also in remoistenable adhesives which are employed mainly in the paper processing industry and films applications.

This product offers excellent thermal stability and compatibility with various elastomers, such as Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate (EVA) and Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene copolymer (SIS) so this product is used as tackifier resin for hot melt adhesive (HMA) and hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA). The major usages are tackifier for hot melt adhesive(HMA), hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive(HMPSA) and solvent based pressure sensitive adhesive(SBPSA), because of its good heat resistance and good compatibility with base polymers such as ethylene vinyl acetate(EVA), styrene block copolymer(SBC).

SYLVALITE RE 100S rosin ester is a stabilized pentaerythritol ester of Tall Oil Rosin. SYLVALITE RE 1005 exhibits low color and good color stability. This resin is compatible with a broad range of polymers, which enables formulation flexibility in various hot melt and solvent based adhesive applications.

SYLVATAC RE 25 rosin ester is a low softening point ester of tall oil rosin with good stability and mild odor. This liquid tackifier has wide compatibility, allowing it to be used in many adhesive systems, particularly where better wetting or low temperature tack is required.

UNI-REZ 2940 polyamide resin is a co-solvent type resin which is soluble in alcohols, but typically requires mixtures of aliphatic hydrocarbons and alcohols for gel stability. UNI-REZ 2940 polyamide resin provides fast solvent release and good grease resistance in flexographic / gravure inks for plastic substrates and is especially effective as an overprint lacquer.

SYLVALITE ENDURA 99 rosin ester is an ester of stabilized Tall Oil Rosin. This innovative, light colored product has been formulated to provide excellent resistance to oxidation. When compounded in Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) hot melt adhesives, it provides notably improved color stability as compared to other tackifiers.

This grade also can be use as tackifier in hot-melt adhesive, water repellent agent, concrete curing agent and binder for asphalt.

The HIRODINE 7542 are hot melt adhesive used as a sealing layer for easy peelable films. Being processed most commonly in an extrusion coating or cast film line, it offers low to high temperature seals and sealability to various substrates including PE, PP, PET, PS, metals, and papers. It is designed to provide both adhesive and cohesive peel seals. Besides easy peelable film applications, it is used for laminating or coating paper, paperboard, woven fabrics, and nonwoven fabrics. Some grades comply with Food and Drug Administration Regulations, European Union Directives, and other regulations.

Kolon Industries HIKOREZ® H-2100 is a pale yellow thermoplastic resin obtained from the copolymerization and hydrogenation of C5 aliphatic olefin and diolefin generated in the thermal-cracking process of naphtha, and offers better colorand heat stability, and lower odor than the previous C5 hydrocarbon resins. This product offers excellent compatibility with Ethylene-Vinyl-Acetate (EVA), Styrene-Isoprene-Styrene copolymer (SIS), and is used as tackifier. HIKOREZ® H-2100 is light color cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon resin. The major usage is a tackifier for EVA, SIS, SEBS block copolymers, metallocene polyolefins and APAO. .

AquaTack 320 is Pressure sensitive adhesive for direct food contact. All levels of tack and shear are available. It is FDA 175.320

AGITAN P 845 is recommended for application in dry blends which are dissolved in water before application. The addition of AGITAN P 845 results in low foaming solutions, specifically aqueous pastes or masses with very low air content. In some mortar systems AGITAN P 845 shows a plastisizing effect, meaning the spreading value is increased. This is ideal for jointless flooring compounds. In some systems setting time is prolonged but curing time is not influenced.

It provides outstanding light stability to many polymers and, in addition, gives long-term heat stability to polymers by radical trapping mechanism similar to that of hinder phenol. HXA UV-770 effectiveness is independent of the polymer’s thickness, in contrast to UV absorbers. It can be incorporated in monomer before polymerization, often with improvement of resin quality.

It is compatible with modified starches. Used in adhesives for porous substrates including paper and paperboard, hot-water soluble film, and as a binder for pigments or other solid particles. It is particularly useful as a pigment binder for ceiling tile primers. Elvanol™ 90-50 complies with FDA regulation.

CPML CORAD 2008 is a fast setting, aggressive poly vinyl acetate based adhesive formulated specifically for core and tube winding. The product exhibits excellent wet tack, flow properties, viscosity stability, and speed of set.
