Cepsa Chemicals Alpha Methylstyrene (AMS) is a colorless liquid organic chemical employed in the production of a wide range of styrenic polymers. AMS is the result of splitting cumene hydroperoxide with sulfuric acid. Cumene itself is obtained through the catalytic alkylation of benzene with propylene.
