Cel-Span® S 100 is a compounded additive for color stabilization and dispersion. A unique proprietary compounding technique makes it possible to pelletize the entire active stabilizer and dispersant in the formulation without adding additional heat history. Cel-Span® S 100 should be utilized at 0.25% to 1% consistently during the color concentration manufacturing processes for stabilization and dispersion. Cel-Span® S 100 also lessens degradation of pigments and enhances the brightness of color concentrates. The pigment is initially dispersed by dispersing agents in order to prevent the formation of uncontrolled flocculates; a process of contact and adhesion whereby the particles of dispersion form larger-size clusters. Kraton D1152 E is a clear, linear block copolymer based on styrene and butadiene with bound styrene of 29.5% mass. It is supplied from Europe in the physical form(s) identified below in the grade nomenclature: Kraton D1152 ES - supplied as porous pellets dusted with amorphous silica Kraton D1152 ET - supplied as porous pellets dusted with talc Kraton D1152 ESM - supplied as powder dusted with amorphous silica Kraton D1152 E is used in compound formulations and as a modifier of thermoplastics. It may also find use in formulating adhesives, sealants, coatings and modified bitumens.
