PPG LO-VEL® flatting agents comprise a comprehensive line of synthetic amorphous precipitated silica products that reduce the gloss (or flatten) coatings, paints, varnishes, lacquers, inks and other finishes. PPG LO-VEL® silica product portfolio has continually expanded to meet evolving formulator demands and now covers a wide range of porosities, particle sizes and other physical properties.

Dissolvine® chelates form strong, water-soluble complexes that prevent undesirable precipitation, dissolve scale deposits and optimize oxidation processes. Our chelate product range includes chelating agents that bind and control metal ions, as well as metal chelates that introduce the right form of metal ions into a product or process.

SureTac is a family of tackifiers that include Rosin Ester, C5 Aliphatic, C9 Aromatic, and C5/C9 Aliphatic/Aromatic, and Specialty Resin Dispersions. The product line offers a variety of softening points and may be modified to meet a specific application.

SYCO 200® is a high performance surfactant with dispersing and wetting action. It is indicated for alkyd, epoxy and bicomponent PU systems, in addition to being applied in tintomeric systems to increase the compatibility with colorants, consequently improving the covering and dyeing power.

Poligen® wax types refer to pure waxes of oxidized polyethylene waxes or ethylene copolymers. Poligen® products are already emulsified waxes and are used for ready-to-formulate purposes. The oxidized ethylene polymers provide the property of emulsification and thus wax emulsions can be prepared. They are defined by their mechanical and physical properties. The chemical constitution is mainly different. Oxidized polyethylene waxes are of high hardness and higher molar mass.

SNOBRITE® air floated kaolin is a natural ultrafine kaolin offering semi-reinforcing, good color quality, effective TiO2 spacing, and cost-effective rheology modifier with inherent or natural plasticity and thixotropy.

Pergopak® organic matting agents and carriers are specialty products for the coatings, paint and agricultural industries. They deliver a good surface finish and soft feel effect that cannot be achieved with standard matting agents like silicas or waxes. For over 20 years, formulators have relied on Pergopak® to improve the rheology and performance of their coatings. In addition, Pergopak® is used as a carrier in the agricultural industry.

Acronal® is a range water-based emulsions. Acronal® range for exterior paints covers styrene and pure acrylics which offer a very high durability against the influence of weathering. Acronal® range for wood and trim paints offer a very high durability against the influence of weathering. In addition, our styrene acrylics have an outstanding chemical resistance, which is very important for exterior applications. BTC’s range of Acronal® dispersions covers both selfcrosslinking and non selfcrosslinking dispersions. BTC’s range of Acronal® types give decorative foils, filters and wallpaper excellent mechanical properties. In air and oil filters for the automotive industry they improve durability and performance. In high-quality decorative paper foil, our binders ensure a high level of stability of the bonded fibers. To abrasives our binders ensure the abrasives flexibility and reduce abrasive particle wear. BTC’s Acronal® types for natural fibers are acrylic dispersions. BTC’s range of Acronal® types give nonwovens made of synthetic fibers their exceptional and different functional properties.

MAKON® UD-Series of products are fast wetters due to their C11 branched carbon chain. They are faster wetters than nonylphenol ethoxylates (NP) and tridecyl alcohol ethoxylates (TDA). They also have good initial foam height with fast foam break, useful in applications like industrial clean-in-place and laundry.

Optifil is a unique ground calcium carbonate from a specialty, high purity calcium carbonate and processed at Huber’s largest GCC plant in Quincy, Illinois. Key advantages of ultra-fine particle distribution, high surface area, round particle shape, and low silica content are enhanced by processing with a proprietary fatty acid-based surface treatment which allow the material to be used as an extender in pipe, conduit, rubber, plastics, and PVC compounds.

SpaceRite® a special purpose white hydrated alumina. White hydrated alumina is aluminum trihydroxide, Al(OH)3, that is produced through special processing of aluminous feedstock and stringent process control systems. The result is hydrated alumina unequaled in purity and whiteness. Although hydrated alumina is a dry powder, when heated above approximately 220ºC it decomposes in approximately 35% water and 65% alumina by weight.SpaceRite can also replace other extenders providing enhanced performance and benefits in coatings and adhesives.

NXT SOLV range of levulinates and levulinate ketals, all biobased solvents offering high performance, improved safety and total sustainability. They are REACH registered and are listed on the US EPA TSCA inventory. NXTLEVVEL products have applications across the chemical industry. They may be incorporated into formulations, used during manufacturing processes or as raw materials for the synthesis of further downstream products such as monomers, polyols, adhesives and polymers.

JetWhite® portfolio meets increasingly demanding impact resistance and dimensional stability specifications for automotive applications such as bumpers and body panels. The JetWhite® product range features the finest and most efficient grades from the Magris Talc portfolio for automotive applications. When the melt flow of TPOs is increased, impact strength tends to drop. The impact strength of talc-reinforced polyolefins is directly linked to the particle size distribution of the talc and to how it disperses in the matrix. To overcome any density issues due to their ultrafine grind, JetWhite® talcs are produced in compacted form to increase bulk density and allow maximum compounding throughput. Their compaction level has been adjusted to provide an optimum handling/ redispersion balance.
