"In 1972, AKZO developed its first para-aramid. In 1982 it was decided to start with its commercial production. In the meantime, the new fiber had been renamed Twaron, and forecasts for the product were better than ever before. In 1986, the new plants in Delfzijl and Emmen began production. The first spool, which was made using raw materials from Delfzijl, came off the spinning machine in May 1986. Twaron entered the market one year later. In 2000, Teijin Ltd. took over all Twaron activities. This marked the start of a series of successful and ambitious investments and expansions. Teijin Aramid now markets four different brands of aramid worldwide. Twaron is by far our strongest brand. Since April 2017, all aramid activities within Teijin Ltd. have been merged under one joint aramid business unit, called Teijin Aramid. This was a special and historic step within Teijin, and a compliment to the entire aramid organization. With the addition of our Teijinconex neo plant in Thailand, and our Teijinconex and Technora plants and two R&D centers in Japan, we are now more than ever a strong and international organization. Teijin Limited, our Japanese parent company and the holding company of Teijin Group, is a technology-driven global group offering advanced solutions in the areas of sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare. Teijin Group has some 150 companies and around 16,000 employees spread out over 20 countries worldwide."

"The history of Berryman Products dates to 1918, when Waldo B. ""Pappy"" Berryman traded a prize-winning stud horse for a patented tire sealing formula. The patent was transferred on the 23rd day of December, 1919. With his family, Pappy traveled across the country in a converted wood panel Graham Truck. They traveled from coast to coast bartering their Sealex Tire Sealer for meals, fuel and accommodations. Legend has it that when Pappy hit a hot sales area he would set up production in a rented room, mix his formula in the bathtub, then fill orders from his truck the next day. Located in a backwoods area of Lima, Ohio, an old shack was converted to serve as the first manufacturing site for Berryman Products.Packaged in glass, early major products like Solvall Tune Up Oil, OilZall Valve Oil, and Lubrex Super-Lubricant gained localized acceptance and popularity, laying the groundwork for the quality reputation that Berryman still enjoys today. During the first 35 years of business,EZ Doz-It , Zingo, Bloxit, and others were also added to the line. As distribution expanded, Pappy and his only son, Colonel Waldo ""Bud"" Berryman, Jr., moved the site to Dallas, Texas. In 1954, Chem-Dip® Carburetor and Parts Cleaner was introduced and has become an industry-leading parts cleaner today. Then, in 1958, B-12 Chemtool® was developed as a multi-purpose surface cleaning solvent and soon became Berryman's flagship product. B-12 Chemtool® is now available in over a dozen products and has grown to become synonymous with the Berryman name.Throughout the 1980's and early 1990's, Berryman continued to flourish. New and innovative products were introduced to the automotive aftermarket - products such as Brake Cleaner , Engine Degreaser , Octane Booster , as well as a family of Aerosol Lubricants . In addition, during this time Berryman Products created the HEST “ High- Energy Solvent T echnology” tagline which describes the unique properties of the products that truly set them apart from the competition. As we approach our 100th year in business, we are especially grateful to our customers who make us what we are today. We commit to continue to provide you with immediate personal service and to produce products that meet the highest quality standards of performance, reliability and environmental responsibility."
