- Product Background
Slip additives have been used in polyolefins for over 50 years to reduce the friction of films, mold release, facilitate the application, and removal of closures. Many materials have been proposed and used but monounsaturated fatty acid amides have become the standard for high slip applications. The most commonly used additives today are Oleamide and Erucamide which are monounsaturated primary amide with a carbon chain length of 18 and 22 respectively. These materials are highly effective slip agents, at modest addition levels have acceptable stability and volatility for most polyolefin processing.
- Features & Benefits
- K - STOFF E (Erucamide) is having better high temperature performance than K - STOFF E (Oleamide). This makes it particularly more useful for PP Films application, another reason to recommend the K-Stoff E in PP films is due to the long carbon chain length causes delayed migration, hence it helps in printing & heat sealing
- K STOFF E is the series of slip additives (Primary Amides) derived from natural resources
- The main function of films, it reduces the COF between Polymer: Polymer or Polymer: Metal surfaces
- In molding, it acts as an excellent mold release agent
- K STOFF E provides good anti-wear, anti-scratch, anti-sticking surface properties and increase the smoothness during the production process
- Key Benefits
- Good Over Printability & Wet Printing Properties
- Excellent Slip Performance
- Scratch & Scuff Resistance
- Kear Gectskance
- Improves Dispersion of Fillers
Applications & Uses

- Compatible Polymers & Resins
- Plastics & Elastomers End Uses
- Uses
- K STOFF E is extensively used in the manufacture of printing inks making of high speed printing inks, magnetic inks, typing ribbons, carbon paper and metal decorating
- K STOFF E is also used in high-grade lube-oil. dye dispersants, waterproof and anti-fog agents for paper making and textile industries, foam-stabilizer, metal-wire drawing lubricant agent, etc.
- Applications
- K - STOFF E is primary amides specially developed as mold release & slip additives for rubber application. In rubber application, these amide waxes also act as a processing aid and/or additive to improve the surface properties of both natural and synthetic rubbers such as NR, NBR, SBR, EPDM, CR, etc.
