Coatings:
ADD-3030 is used as slip and leveling agent in water- and solvent-based industrial coatings
It improves the leveling properties and increases scratch and abrasion resistance and also anti-blocking characteristics.
ADD-3030 has very broad compatibility with a broad range of resin systems. An applied film containing ADD-3030 is relatively insensitive to cratering and pin-holing even at high concentrations of the additive.
The special properties and recommended systems for ADD-3030 are:
• Cost-effective slip and leveling agent for air-drying alkyds
• Very effective anti-cratering agent for polyurethane systems (matt and semi-transparent)
• It prevents Benard cells in all types of solvent-based coating systems
• Very suited for industrial baking systems, where baking temperatures are less than 170°C.
It can be added at any stage during the production process. When added during the dispersion process, it speeds up wetting.
