- Application
One-Way 2M is recommended for fine and medium grit applications that require high flexibility, or a low profile where joint thickness is critical. In addition, One-Way 2M can be used with glue bond, resin/glue, full resin, and waterproof coated abrasives for narrow or wide belts. All Adirondack One-Way products are supplied with our exclusive primer system which has been specifically designed to promote adhesion of urethane adhesives to the tape. This specially designed polymer primer impregnates the fiber bundles and reduces yarn splitting that can occur with high viscosity adhesive systems. In addition, the primer stops filament displacement that can occur during adhesive application on loop type knife coaters.
Processing
Primed ADK tapes are advantageously used in a two-way adhesive application using contact bonding under pressure with heat activation.
