Drawing from an extensive global supply chain of resins and fillers, we can produce virtually any enhanced polymer by adding reactive functionality, pigments, reinforced fillers, flexibility and more to create five different classes of materials under the Fluon+ brand.

We offer a wide selection of off-the-shelf compounds that can be used to enhance thermoplastic parts, components, composite materials and substrates. These materials add performance characteristics such as chemical resistance, wear resistance, creep resistance, toughness, lubricity, thermal conductivity and electrical conductivity. Fluon+™ FL1680

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ FL1680 lubricant is a white, finely divided, low molecular weight powder manufactured from virgin PTFE feedstock. It has an average particle size of 11 microns, a narrow particle size distribution and low surface area. FL1680 is virtually immune from chemical attack, is water repellent, has good electrical insulation properties, a wide working temperature range and has excellent weathering and aging characteristics.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ FL1690Z is a white PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) micro powder. It is a lubricant milled to a very fine powder while retaining excellent lubricity properties. These powders can be compounded rubber and plastics or dispersed in liquids to improve the friction and wear properties of the base material. The particles of this area of intermediate hardness, permitting mixing without further breakdown. It is suitable for use in food contact applications.

This product is suitable for use in food contact applications. The particles are coarse and friable and some size reduction of the larger particles will occur during compounding.

FL1710Z is particularly suitable for use in surface coatings, metal decorating inks, low viscosity lubricating oils and is readily dispersed in liquids using either high or low shear mixing. This combination of properties makes FL 1710Z very useful in coating formulations and makes it suitable for use in food contact applications.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ TL-120 is a white, FEP (fluorinated ethylene propylene) micropowder with a very small particle size. It has excellent thickening power when used as an extreme pressure (EP) agent in hydrocarbon and fluorosilicone fluids, and is used to meet MLGI Class 2 Specifications. Fluon+ TL-120 is ideally suited as an additive to all solid and liquid media. In printing inks, it may be used as an anti-scuff and release agent. It is suitable for food contact applications.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon+™ TL-171EZ is a white PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) micropowder which is easy to disperse in a wide range of liquids. The reduced total surface areas of Fluon+ TL-171EZ minimizes viscosity increase during mixing. The particles are soft, however, and retain good film forming capability. This combination of properties makes Fluon+ TL-171EZ very useful in coating formulations. Fluon® TL-171EZ is suitable for use in food contact applications.

The rounded particle shape and intermediate hardness permit mixing without further breakdown and without large increases in viscosity. This product is FDA compliant for food contact applications. FL1650Z also features a low volatile content which may have value in specialized applications.
