AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. LUMIFLON® FE-45000 is a water emulsion product developed to enable formulators to meet VOC and HAPS regulations on many solvents in the US. This product has low hydroxyl functionality and is designed for use in single-component coatings. Like other LUMIFLON® resins, it is used to produce coatings with high gloss and excellent weatherability. This product can also be used in blends with standard acrylic resins to substantially improve weathering of these conventional products. LUMIFLON® polymers consist of alternating fluoroethylene and alkyl vinyl ether segments (FEVE). The fluorinated segments provide outstanding UV stability, weather resistance, and chemical resistance, while the vinyl ether segments provide solvent compatibility and crosslinking sites. AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. LUMIFLON® FD1000 - FEVE Waterborne Resin Polyol is a fluoroethylene vinyl ether waterborne resin used in applications requiring outstanding exterior durability. It is a polyol used in 2K polyurethane coatings and may be used as a blending resin in 1K systems. It has a low molecular weight combined with a high hydroxyl value for creating 2K waterbased polyurethane coatings with a high crosslink density. This waterborne polyol is classified as a dispersion as it is synthesized without emulsifier. This unique, emulsifier-free technology allows for the formulation of waterbased 2K polyurethane coatings with the same performance as traditional solventbased 2K coatings. Like other LUMIFLON® resins, this product is used to produce coatings with high gloss and excellent durability. The high refractiveness of these grades offers good transparency when added to resins and films. It is also used for anti-blocking in film applications. The NP-series has excellent heat resistance and is very dimensionally stable at various temperature ranges.
