It is used in applications that require a statically conductive polymer with the ability to withstand harsh environments. It is processed using conventional extrusion or injection molding techniques. AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® ETFE C88AXMP-HT is a high-performance melt-processable copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and ethylene that is designed for use in automotive applications. It offers improved thermal stability and performs better at higher temperatures than standard ETFE, with a maximum operating temperature of 200ºC. Its enhanced stress crack resistance, abrasion resistance, and mechanical strength make it suitable for ultra-thin layer insulation in vehicles and aircraft where reducing carbon footprint and increasing fuel efficiency is important.

AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. Fluon® ETFE LM-730A is a modified ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) polymer. Unlike most other ETFE materials, LM-730A has a lower melting point of 225°C (compared to 260°C for most ETFE), improved chemical resistance and thermal stability, enhanced optical clarity, increased flexibility, and a higher limiting oxygen index of 40% (compared to 31% for most ETFE). It can be processed using conventional extrusion and injection molding techniques and is used for general-purpose extrusion and injection molding applications.

It also exhibits high permeation resistance to many fluids and gasses, especially automotive fuels. It is processed using conventional melt extrusion methods and is available as a 1/8” pellet.

This product is ideal for hose constructions which require chemical resistance, permeation resistance, and an unsurpassed bond to polyamide materials. AH-800 has a higher upper-end temperature rating (approaching 200°C) and improved resistance to stress cracks at elevated temperatures. These products are supplied in cylindrical pellet form.
