Spirulina contains around 60% protein in dry form. It is a source of antioxidants, strengthens the immune system and improves the tone and vitality of the body.Like all microalgae, Spirulina must however be considered with caution to ensure its quality. Cultivation must be managed with rigor and attention to detail in order to avoid the development of elements which are harmful to humans, such as heavy metals.Spirulina is largely made up (80%) of hydrophilic elements: proteins, minerals, polysaccharides and water-soluble vitamins. Inside the cell, water is used to transport the majority of Spirulina metabolites and plays the role of natural support. Scenederm® Scenedesmus Extract is a cosmopolitan unicellular micro-algae of the chlorophycae class and the scenedemacae family . It is non-mobile, measures approximately 5 to 30 micrometers in length and 8 to 10 micrometers in diameter. Scenedesmus thrives in moist areas of fresh or even brackish water.

Porphyderm® Porphyridium Extract is red micro-algae of marine origin belonging to the rhodophyta class. It does not have flagella and has a spherical or ovoid shape the size of 1-40 µm.Its cells, of varying colors of red depending on age and culture conditions, are coated in a mucilaginous sheath of polysaccharides. Unlike plants, red microalgae have no real cell wall; their mucilage cover protects them from harsh environmental conditions such as heat or strong light. This is also how they are protected from attack due to salts.In addition to ordinary pigments such as chlorophyll and carotenoids, Rhodophytes are distinguished from other microalgae by the presence of phycobiliproteins. The most abundant in Porphyridium are the phycoerythrins which give it this characteristic red color. Thanks to these phycoerythrins, red microalgae can live at a depth of up to 250 m.
