All-Plus Chemicals APF206G is an excellent dispersant and encrustation inhibitor for the prevention of silicate and phosphonate scales in automatic dishwashing formulations. The APF206G polymer, a sulfonate copolymer, can be combined with acrylic homopolymers to minimize limescale filming in certain formulations. It is a copolymer of acrylic and sulfonic acids with a molecular weight of around 12,000.

Mode of Action

APF206G Polymer, a sulfonate copolymer, can be combined with acrylic homopolymers to minimize limescale filming in certain formulations. APF206G is a copolymer of acrylic and sulphonic acids with a molecular weight around 12000 in order to optimize the following features :

  • Anti-precipitation :
    • APF206G will prevent precipitation of calcium polyphosphate and insoluble silicate salts in the wash bath due to properties on seeds and growing particles. The controlled precipitation of these sparingly soluble salts will reduce the phenomenon of filming ,which is due to deposition of precipitating builders on the various surfaces encountered in automatic dishwashing : stainless steel , ceramics ,and more particularly glass.
  • Dispersing Properties :
    • APF206G is an excellent dispersant for calcium polyphosphate and magnesium silicate based scales. It will contribute to keep them dispersed in the wash bath and avoid their deposition and build-up that would cause filming on surfaces . APF206G can be combined with Acrylic homopolymers in order to boost the filming inhibition performance due to specific calcium carbonate inhibition properties . This combination is particularly recommended for the "all-in one" tablets, to alleviate the heavy precipitating conditions arising from higher calcium and magnesium leaves in the washing bath.

  • Acrylic Acid AMPS Copolymer APF206G Granule is an excellent dispersant for calcium polyphosphate and magnesium silicate based scales. It also prevents precipitation of calcium polyphosphate and insoluble silicate salts in the wash bath due to properties on seeds and growing particles.
  • Acrylic Acid AMPS Copolymer APF206G Granule is a superior polyphosphate silicate scale inhibitor for automatic laundry and dishwashing detergents. In automatic dishwashing, deposition of precipitating builders on the various surfaces causes filming on stainless steel, ceramics, and more particularly glass. Acrylic Acid AMPS Copolymer APF206G Granule keeps the controlled precipitation of these sparingly soluble salts dispersed in the wash bath to avoid building up that would cause filming.
Dose Rates
  • To obtain an optimal efficiency, APF206G polymer should be used at levels between 50 and 500ppm in the wash bath, for household or industrial purposes .
  • This will correspond to 1 to 8% of APF206G in the washing powders and tablets (expressed as dry product).
  • APF206G is suitable for P-containing detergents .
