EBECRYL® 609 is a clear liquid bisphenol A epoxy diacrylate oligomer, diluted with 15% butyl acetate. Noted for its light color and medium viscosity, films cured by UV or EB showcase the high gloss, surface hardness, and excellent solvent resistance characteristic of epoxy resins. EBECRYL® 609 finds applications in overprint varnishes, lithographic and screen inks, coatings for paper, paperboard, wood chipboard, rigid plastics, paper upgrading, fast cure coatings, laminating adhesives, and wood sealers and topcoats. It is commonly used in wood coatings and furniture coatings, employing methods such as curtain coating, gravure coating, and roller application.

Storage and Handling
Care should be taken not to expose radiation curable products to temperatures exceeding 40°C for prolonged periods or to direct sunlight. This might cause uncontrollable polymerization of the product with generation of heat. Storage and handling should be in stainless steel, amber glass, amber polyethylene or baked phenolic lined containers. Do not store this material under an oxygen free atmosphere. Use dry air to displace material removed from the container. Measured on a 125μ UV cured film. This material should not be stored for more than 2 years.
