The product is particularly effective as a dry film preservative for:
- Architectural & Industrial Paints & Coatings
- Construction materials including flooring adhesives, caulks, sealants,
- grouts and jointing compounds.
- Amount to Use
A range of typical concentrations of OMACIDETM IPBC 20 TX Fungicide for various applications is given in Table 4; however, it is recommended that a testing program be undertaken to determine the most cost-effective dose for your application.

- Antimicrobial Properties
The levels of active agent needed to prevent the growth of problem micro-organisms are listed in Table 1; Minimum Inhibitory Concentrations (MICs) do not represent effective in-use concentrations which should be discussed with your local Lonza representative.
OMACIDE™ IPBC 20 TX Fungicide has a non-specific mode of action which means that resistance is very unlikely to occur. Detailed information on the mode of action is available on request.- Compatibility
IPBC hydrolyses in strong alkali media & decomposes at 180°C. The active has been associated with irreversible yellowing of dry film in some formulations, particularly those containing styrenated polymers.
