Works of the Research & Development Department of BART allowed us to achieve liposomes composed of a single bilayer of phosphatidylcholine (lecithin) molecules, which is the external barrier of the liposomal vesicle and entraps L-ascorbic acid (vitamin C) molecules in the aqueous phase (Figure 1).
