Cutina® HR Flakes is a cosmetic ingredient that serves as a thickener, gelling agent, and stabilizer. Its INCI name is Hydrogenated Castor Oil. Cegesoft® SBE is a highly concentrated form of Shea butter with a high level of unsaponifiable matter, consisting of valuable tocopherols and cinnamic acid esters from triterpene alcohol. It is supplied as a pale-yellow soft paste with a bland odor and is suitable for a variety of skin care applications.

Shadownyl® Clear BC10112 is obtained from Fucus vesiculosus, a type of seaweed that is hand-collected from the Gulf of Maine in a renewable manner. This hardy species of algae endures various environmental stresses such as dehydration, UV radiation from the sun, thermal stress, and oxidation. Shadownyl™ leverages the plant’s resilience to help the skin recover from daily stresses, smoothing the appearance of eye wrinkles, and reducing the visibility of under-eye circles for refreshed and rejuvenated skin.

BASF Retinol 50 C is an active ingredient that counteracts skin aging and improves the appearance of UV-damaged skin. This product appears as a yellow oil with crystals at low temperatures. It is soluble in polysorbate 20 and has an assay of approximately 50%. This product has a stabilizer system of BHT and BHA.

Plantapon® AF is a surfactant composition blend that is ideal for use in the preparation of bath and shower oils, as well as water-free body cleansing products. Eumulgin® CO 40 is a PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil used as a nonionic O/W emulsifier and/or solubilizer for the production of aqueous cosmetic preparations, such as solubilisates and tonics. This product is particularly useful for hair and scalp care formulations.

Retinol, however, can be unstable and difficult to work with and can induce skin irritation, making it incompatible for sensitive skin formulations. In response to these issues, BASF developed Vit-A-Like™.

Plantacare® 818 UP is a mild, non-ionic surfactant that is suitable for use as a base surfactant or co-surfactant in cosmetic cleansing preparations. It is a cloudy, viscous aqueous solution of a C8-C16 fatty alcohol glycoside. Applications include skin care, hair care, and oral care.

Dermican® PW LS 9838 is a synthetic tetrapeptide that helps counteract this by improving skin’s natural firmness and thickness for a comprehensive anti-aging effect. As people age, they tend to lose the skin’s ability to synthesize collagen decreases, resulting in thinner, frailer skin. Dermican® PW LS 9838 helps with counteracting this process.

Tinovis® ADE is an anionic acrylic copolymer dispersed in a hydrogenated polydecene carrier phase. It is designed for use in a range of applications in the cosmetics industry, specifically in skin creams, moisturizers, and toners. This product is used to enhance the performance of skin care formulations with a typical application level in a skin cream of approximately 1% polymer as supplied. Tinovis® ADE primarily functions as a thickener, gelling agent, and promotes good spreading characteristics. It also serves as an opacifier and a spreading and stabilizing agent.

BASF HD-Eutanol V is a medium-spreading emollient suitable for all cosmetic applications. It is supplied as a clear, slightly yellowish, almost odorless weak oil. Its applications include skin care, cleanser, sun care, mother and baby products, hair care, shampoo and conditioner, hair color, bath and body products, men's skin care, antiperspirants and deodorants, face care, and self-tanning.

Luviset® 360 is a new styling polymer that provides exceptional textures and a strong yet flexible hold. The product offers long-lasting hold even in high humidity and requires less carbomer thickener for the desired viscosity, thanks to its self-thickening capability.

Skinasensyl® LS 9749 is a synthetic tetrapeptide that is specifically designed to help soothe sensitive skin and support an increase in the skin’s tolerance threshold. This product is ideally used in skin care products for sensitive skin, anti-stress skin care products, cosmeceutical ranges, and men’s care products.

Lox-age® supports the body's ability to release the skin's own multi-active LOX, which helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pore visibility and smooth the skin's surface for a youthful and radiant look. Cetiol® SoftFeel is the newest soft-solid emollient developed by BASF Care Creations®. It is made from 100% renewable ingredients and is 100% naturally derived, according to ISO 16128.
