Plantaren® 2000 N UP is an alkyl polyglucoside (APG®) surfactant that is in a unique class of non-ionic surfactants obtained from renewable, plant-derived raw materials. It is made from natural, renewable, plant-derived feedstocks and is readily biodegradable. Applications for this product include body wash, face wash, liquid hand soap, shampoo, sensitive skin care, and wipes. This product has a liquid appearance, with an active substance content of 48-55%.

POSTBIOLIFT™ is a bioactive ingredient derived from the biofermentation process of Lactobacillus crispatus. It contains dormant cells of the living bacterium, which contributes to more elastic skin, a smoother appearance of wrinkles around the eyes, and an even complexion. As skin microbiota diversity changes with age, certain beneficial lactic acid bacteria decrease in mature skin. BASF researchers found that Lactobacillus crispatus is one such bacterium, decreasing in specific skin areas and disappearing from the wrinkle hollows of older individuals. POSTBIOLIFT™ is the first cosmetic ingredient to use this "youth bacterium" found naturally on the skin, offering unique benefits that other biotics on the market lack. Hydagen® Aquaporin is made of highly concentrated glyceryl glucoside. One of the fundamental processes of life is the transportation of water molecules through the surface layer of the cells. The structure of these channels was clarified in the 1990s, and the corresponding proteins were named aquaporins. The discovery of these water canals was awarded with the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2003. BASF now makes one of the best-known aquaporin-supporting substances available to the broad cosmetic market. Clinical studies show that Hydagen® Aquaporin boosts the moisturizing capacity of glycerin for instant and 24-hour hydration.

Lamesoft® Balance by BASF is a biodegradable, efficient stabilizer for rinse-off products. It stabilizes wax dispersions in cleaning products for skin and hair. This product can be processed cold and is easy to formulate. It exhibits a structure-improving effect to stabilize wax-based opacifiers, even in low-viscosity formulations. This product offers an appealing, uniform rheology in the finished product. It prevents the aggregation of fine wax particles and reduces the sedimentation speed in surfactant systems, especially in micellar thickeners. It improves the foam-forming properties of body cleansing products and hair conditioning in shampoo formulations with cationic conditioning agents. Lamesoft® Balance makes the skin feel pleasant. It is suitable for formulations of natural cosmetic products according to the COSMOS and NATRUE standards.

Good performance for cleaning and foam control. Suitable for high-temperature cleaning (greater than 60°C). The cloud point is 30°C, so it has very low foaming above that temperature, which is ideal for carpet extraction operating temperatures (typically 35 to 50°C). Listed on the EPA's Safer Chemical Ingredients List, it is a low-foaming fatty alcohol EO/PO derivative.

Luvigel® Star AT3 is an associative thickener for emulsions that performs in a wide pH range (2 - 12) even under tight conditions, such as high electrolyte content. Additionally, it stabilizes very good air bubbles (e.g., for mousse applications). This polymer provides a dry and waxy after-feel.

Jordapon® SCI is a very high-activity, solid sodium cocoyl isethionate. It is used in syndet bars, combo bars, liquid soaps, facial cleansers, body cleansers, and shampoos. It has high foaming performance, extreme mildness, as well as soft and silky skin after-feel characteristics.

Sokalan® HP 66 K is a modified copolymer of vinylpyrrolidone and vinylimidazole and is available in liquid form with a concentration of approximately 41%. It offers significantly better performance compared to PVP, with higher activity and better solubility in detergents than Sokalan® HP 56 K.

Cutina® GMS-SE is a glyceryl stearate that is a self-emulsifying base suitable for the preparation of cosmetic oil-in-water emulsions for skin, bath and body, face care, mother and baby, and hair care. It is a white to off-white powder with a mild, faint odor.

Sokalan® CP 7 is a copolymer of methacrylic acid and acrylic acid. Polymeric dispersing agents have the potential to inhibit incrustation and scale formation due to their ability to disperse suspended solids. Furthermore, Sokalan® CP 7 boosts detergent properties, thereby overcoming deficiencies seen when phosphates are removed from formulations.

Cosmedia® SP is an emulsifying polymer with stabilizing, thickening, and emulsifying properties. It has good spreadability and an exceptional sensory profile, offering the ability to achieve light textures, as well as a silky, velvety, and non-tacky after-feel in different types of applications. The easy-to-formulate and cold-processable solution is free of preservatives and suitable for EO-free products.

Pluronic® 17R4 is a 100% active product that is ideal for use as a foam controlling agent in machine floor cleaning applications. The final choice of surfactant will depend on the specific formulation. This EO/PO-block polymer has approximately 40% EO and a cloud point of 46°C.

Dehymuls® CO 7 is a water-in-oil (W/O) emulsifier that is suitable for a wide range of water-in-oil skin care emulsions. It is a viscous liquid composed of ethoxylated hydrogenated castor oil, and can be used for various applications such as after sun, baby care and cleansing, body care, face care, personal care wipes, self tanning, and sun protection.

Sokalan® HP 56 Granules are polymeric dispersing agents with the potential to inhibit incrustation and scale formation. They are available as granules with a minimum concentration of 95%. These granules provide significantly better performance compared to PVP and boost detergency, overcoming deficiencies seen when phosphates are removed from formulations.

Verdessence™ Tara is a 100% plant-based rheology modifier that enables the creation of smooth and shapely textures. It is suitable for verified eco-friendly aqueous and emulsion systems, acting as an effective thickener and texture enhancer. It also brings sustainability to the table with non-GMO sourcing, no preservatives, and a readily biodegradable composition.

Eperuline® PW LS 9627 is an aqueous extract from the bark of the tree Eperua falcata Aubl that has anti-irritation properties. Our bodies perform less efficiently with age; the once well-oiled cell machinery deteriorates, and we become more sensitive to environmental changes. Everyday aggressors such as UV and pollution trigger the release of pro-inflammatory markers that cause low-grade chronic inflammation that is distributed across the body. This mechanism, known as inflamm'aging, results in permanent, silent, and invisible inflammation. It causes cell degeneration and damages the tissues that maintain the inflammation, leading to accelerated aging. To break the vicious circle of silent inflammation, BASF experts developed Eperuline® PW. By fighting against age-related chronic micro-inflammation, it helps improve skin's firmness, elasticity, and tonicity, while reducing the appearance of sagging to maintain a youthful look.

Hyaluronic Filling Spheres® are based on the use of a hygroscopic material to make a sphere. These spheres are dehydrated at first and fill up with water within the skin. This hydration process causes a change in volume proportional to the spheres’ moisture-retaining capacity. Hyaluronic Filling Spheres™ help to smooth the look of deep wrinkles through biotechnology in eye application for mature skin, anti-wrinkle skin care, deep wrinkle skin care ("elevens" wrinkles, forehead wrinkles, nasogenian folds), and intense moisturizing skin care.

Plurafac® LF 431 offers excellent caustic stability and does not yellow when in direct contact with NaOH beads. The choice of final surfactant depends on the formulation and temperature of the cleaning process. Its essential properties include wetting, low-foaming, or even defoaming.

Tinogard® TL is a broad-spectrum UV light stabilizer that protects light-sensitive colorants, fragrances, and actives from photolytic degradation. It reduces the viscosity loss of acrylate-based gels and inhibits light-induced yellowing. Tinogard® TL is non-ionic, oil- and alcohol-soluble, and can be easily incorporated into oil- or aqua-based systems. It usually needs to be pre-mixed with a fragrance, emollient, non-ionic surfactant, or solubilizer.

BASF Vibracolor Flame Orange is a powder dye used in rinse-off hair care applications such as shampoos and conditioners. It imparts a vibrant orange color and adds a lively, attractive look to the hair. The product complies with REACH regulations and is a Basic Dye type, with the INCI name Basic Orange 31. It is part of the Pigments & Colorants technologies and falls under the Product Families of Dyes and Basic Dyes. Additionally, it is labeled as "Clean at Sephora," meeting the retailer's standards for clean beauty products.

Demelan® VPC is a thickener for acidic systems that is highly effective on mineral acids, has shown excellent primary cleaning on certain soils, and mixes into solution up to three times faster than other competitive thickeners, providing improved processing time. It is also compatible with all types of anionic, cationic, and amphoteric surfactants.

Luviset® 360 is a new styling polymer that provides exceptional textures and a strong yet flexible hold. The product offers long-lasting hold even in high humidity and requires less carbomer thickener for the desired viscosity, thanks to its self-thickening capability.

Asebiol® LS 9853 1KG IP23 is a precious active complex containing Vitamin B3, Vitamin B7, panthenol, and allantoin. Asebiol® visibly reduces the appearance of skin imperfections and oiliness of the hair and skin. Its applications include skin care, hair care, and cosmetics.

Dehyquart® A CA is a cationic surfactant commonly used as a conditioning agent in hair conditioning creams and emulsions. It appears as a clear liquid with characteristic inherent odor and is used as a hair conditioner and for hair coloring and shampooing.

Euperlan® PK 710 Benz is an economic pearlescent concentrate that is highly effective, cold-processable, and cost-efficient. This product is recommended for use in skin care, cleanser, mother and baby, hair care, shampoo and conditioner, bath and body, face care, pet care, pet care TSCA, and pet care DSL with quantity restrictions.

Dermican® LS 9745 is a synthetic tetrapeptide that helps counteract this by improving skin’s natural firmness and thickness for a comprehensive anti-aging effect. As people age, they tend to lose the skin’s ability to synthesize collagen decreases, resulting in thinner, frailer skin. Dermican® LS 9745 helps with counteracting this process.

Lox-age® supports the body's ability to release the skin's own multi-active LOX, which helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles and pore visibility and smooth the skin's surface for a youthful and radiant look. Aggressive medical resurfacing procedures may offer similar results, but these can destabilize the epidermal structure and integrity. This all-natural, plant-based active ingredient noticeably improves skin smoothness and youthfulness and adds a highly appealing, verifiable claim to various anti-aging products with a clinical efficacy similar to retinol. Lox-age®improves epidermal architecture and is perceived to be as effective as retinol for improving wrinkles and skin appearance.

Myritol® 331 is a modified coconut oil. It is a medium-spreading emollient with very good emulsifiability. It is particularly suited for sun care formulations due to its solubilizing capacity for crystalline UV filters and dispersing properties for pigments. This product is a low-viscous, clear, slightly yellowish oil.
