It functions as a mild degreaser and foaming/stabilizing surfactant, is listed on Safer Choice, and is 100% natural carbon. It is mild to the skin and can synergistically reduce skin irritation caused by anionic surfactants. With the presence of water, better phase stability is achieved. This product is listed on the Safer Choice list. The final surfactant choice for the formulation depends on the desired outcome.

Propionic acid is a water-soluble organic acid serving a range of applications. Propionic Acid Pure is used as a versatile preservative in food or feed industry. Tinopal® CBS-X is a 4,4'-distyryl biphenyl derivative, a fluorescent whitening agent that absorbs UV radiation and re-emits visible blue light to compensate for the yellowish appearance of natural fibers. It has high solubility and produces a high level of whiteness and brightness even with short washing times over a range of cold to medium temperatures.

Inoterra™ DWE is a clear liquid of 85% concentration, which utilizes the synergy between natural alcohol ethoxylates and 2-PH surfactants. Water is present to provide better phase stability. It has a cloud point of 53°C and an HLB of 12.4. It is listed on Safer Choice, although the final surfactant choice depends on the formulation.

This product can be processed cold and is easy to formulate. It exhibits a structure-improving effect to stabilize wax-based opacifiers, even in low-viscosity formulations.
