Anti-inflammatory and antiseptic (carotenoids and salicylic acid); metabolic stimulant (sterols and triterpenes); vitamin A precursor (carotenoids); astringent (flavonoids and tannins); skin regenerator; emollient and hydrating. It may be beneficially used against sunburns and other superficial wounds.

Recommended for use in anti-wrinkle and antiseborrhoeic products in sun products; in restorative and cicatrizant formulations. Also indicated to control dandruff and hair excessive oiliness.
