- Cogesome® RL is compatible with most conventional ingredients used in skincare products. It is miscible in aqueous and glycolic systems. Add when temperature is below 40°C. Mix well before use.

- Skin Penetration Study
Cogesome® RL enhances penetration of retinol into the living cell layers of the skin for better efficacy. To demonstrate this, an independent study measured topical delivery of retinol into human skin by a formulation containing ex vivo Cogesome® RL compared to a control formulation of retinol in caprylic capric triglycerides (CCT), a common hydrophobic carrier that rapidly penetrates into the stratum corneum. As shown below, after a 24-hour treatment, Cogesome® RL (at 1%, 2%, 4%, and 10%) increased retinol levels in the dermis compared to identical levels of retinol (as indicated) in the control formulation.

- Safety
- Human Repeat Insult Patch Testing (HRIPT) under semi-occlusive conditions indicated that Cogesome® RL, when tested neat, is not a primary skin irritant or a primary skin sensitizer. Irritancy testing predicted that Cogesome® RL would be a Minimal ocular irritant when tested neat and at recommended use levels.

- Storage Condition
- Cogesome® RL should be shipped at an ambient temperature less than 33˚C and subsequently stored refrigerated (2-8˚C). Before use, warm to room temperature (18-25˚C). Mix well before use and protect from light.
