HEDI® Mango Butter (R10076) is a unique water-based dispersion of mango butter with babassu oil, squalane, and vitamin E in a silicone-free microdispersion carrying more than 30% hydrophobe. HEDI® Mango Butter is a plant-derived alternative for paraffin and silicone-based emollients. Applications for HEDI® Mango Butter include moisturizing treatments for very dry, rough, and cracked skin, skincare products for sensitive skin, and skin, scalp, and hair care conditioning formulas. A soft solid with a very slight sweet scent, Mango Butter exhibits excellent moisturizing properties and good lubricity. Mango Butter, obtained from de-shelled fruit kernels of the mango tree, has natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties. Organic certified babassu oil is extracted from wild-picked fruits of the babassu palm tree, offering softening properties with glycerides of lauric, myristic, and oleic acids. HEDI® products are stable ingredient blends of aqueous and oil-based materials made using a unique manufacturing process. HEDI® products are ultra-concentrated homogeneous constructs that are infinitely dilutable in aqueous systems. HEDI® products have superior aesthetics while simplifying formulation and manufacturing processes and enhancing the delivery of active ingredients in the formula. HEDI® products can be adjusted to achieve a consistency that is milk-like (pourable and even sprayable), creamy, or paste-like. Tactile properties can be light and silky or velvety and more occlusive. HEDI® products streamline manufacturing processes for time, energy, and cost savings by avoiding additional heating, melting, and mixing steps. HEDI® products are amenable to cold processes and do not require surfactants or emulsifiers.HEDI® products have properties similar to the skin barrier, promoting skin permeability and facilitating delivery through the lipid-rich, waterproof stratum corneum.
