About Us

"The aim of the company, which was founded in 1986, is to process the large quantities of sweet whey that accumulate during cheese production in northern Germany into whey protein and lactose. The central location in Harbarnsen, south of Hanover, opens up the whole of northern Germany and is a favorable location with a large catchment area that stretches from northern Hesse to Schleswig-Holstein and east to the island of Rügen. There are three production lines for lactose, whey protein and KPK, which are operated by their own workforce in three shifts, seven days a week, 363 days a year. There is a high demand for whey protein - a protein of high nutritional value - in many areas of the food, animal feed and pharmaceutical industries. Lactose, with its low sweetening power, is practically tasteless and is therefore particularly suitable as a carrier and filler in the food and pharmaceutical industries. Currently almost one million tons of whey can be processed annually. The production buildings originally came from the 1960s and 1970s and were successively expanded, renovated and adapted to the changing requirements over time; in total there are around 10,000 m2. The last expansion in 2013 was the construction of powder store 4."
