Disponil® grades are anionic based surfactants for a wide range of applications where dynamic wetting and solubilising properties are needed. Especially their strong emulsifying and dispersing characteristics are the main property in diverse applications. They are used during the polymerization process are essential for problem-free manufacture, insitu-polymerization stabilization and can also positively influence the dispersion performance in application. Disponil® grades are free of sodium chloride and the remaining salt content of sodium sulfate is reduced to a very low limit. With regard to the 1,4 Dioxan content in fatty alcohol ether sulfates (FES) the level is reduced to a limit depending on the ethoxylation degree. Overall the content is below 150 ppm, whereas the lowest is < 5ppm. Those narrow ranged by-products of the main product are mandatory in sensitive applications like emulsion polymerisation processes. In addition most of the emulsifiers are FDA or BfR (Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung) approved.

Sokalan® range comprises dispersing agents that are used to eliminate or reduce the impact of water hardness ions during the application of the detergent or cleaning formulation. State-of-the-art laundry formulations consist of sodium polyacrylates, like our Sokalan® types.

Trilon® is a broad product range of high-performance and innovative complexing agents, also known as chelating agents. Trilon® chelating agents belong mainly to the class of amino carboxylates which are organic complexing agents. Chelating agents are able to prevent the deleterious impact of metal ions in technical applications. The presence of free metal ions, such as iron, copper, calcium, manganese, and further other metals, reduces the efficiency or quality of the product due to their catalytic activity, precipitation, or increased microbial growth. Trilon® chelating agents are applied in the manufacture of pulp- and paper, electronic or chemical surface treatment processes, bleaching processes in the textile/leather industry, and versatile chemical processes where metal ions can negatively impact the process.

Lutensol® grades are nonionic surfactants used as wetting agents and low foaming surfactants, emulsifiers.

Emulan® grades (C13 oxo alcohol ethoxylates) are nonionic surfactants. They are either liquid formulations, waxy substances, waxy micronized beads or flakes. The products have versatile properties like solubilizing, wetting, dispersing, and soil removal.

Rheovis® types are rheology modifiers that enable formulators to adjust the flow behavior of their automotive & industrial coatings products. That way they benefit from improved viscosity behavior and application characteristics.

Lupasol® performance polymers are water soluble polymers. They are either homopolymers or copolymers of various polymers. Depending on their structure such polymers are anionic, nonionic, or cationic charged. They act mainly as additional additive due to their key performance. Lupasol® paper chemicals are components for the production of microcapsules which, in combination with other chemicals, give a highly efficient reactive system to produce carbonless copy papers.

Lavergy® range are enzymes (protease and cellulase) for laundry detergent and cleaning. They are key performance ingredients in detergents. They are increasingly important to the performance of detergent formulations helping to degrade and remove blood, milk and egg stains from fabrics or to prevent graying on different textiles. Utilizing combinations of enzymes with classical chemical ingredients allow for the creation of cleaning products optimized to specific applications, markets requirements, and performance claims; such as superior performance at low temperature (30°C and below) in concentrated liquid detergents. Protease, one of the most used enzyme in laundry formulations, supports the removal of protein based stains.

Pluronic® types are chemically EO/PO or PO/EO block polymers used as dispersants. Pluronic® grades offer specialized properties making them ideal for improving electroplating processes.

Plurafac® grades are fatty alcohol alkoxylates. They are petrochemically sourced and are low-foaming nonionic surfactants. They consist of alkoxylated, predominantly unbranched fatty alcohols, and they contain higher alkene oxides alongside ethylene oxide. The fatty alcohol chains of some Plurafac® types terminate in an alkyl group. Their most important properties are wetting, low-foaming, or even defoaming. They are used in versatile chemical-technical applications to ensure a smooth process flow. BTC’s low-foaming surfactants are used in the paper & pulp industry or in the metal treatment industry, especially in metalworking fluids. Also in wood-based fiber production, textile pre-treatment, and coatings formulations.

Dehypon® grades are oleochemical sourced fatty alcohol alkoxylates. They are special grades which provide very low foaming properties. The physical form vary from liquid to solid, even granules are available. Dehypon® grades are versatile useable and provide properties such as wetting, soil removal, low foaming and emulsification. Dehypon® low foaming surfactants are used in versatile chemical-technical applications to ensure a smooth process flow. Application fields are besides others in the paper & pulp industry or in the metal treatment industry, especially in metalworking fluids. Also in the wood based fiber production, in textile pre-treatment and in coatings formulations BTC’s low foaming surfactants are used.

Protectol® types are biocides that are rated as active substances under the European Biocidal Products Regulation. Protectol® products are used for human hygiene purposes as well as for the disinfection of surfaces, materials, equipment, and furniture and for veterinary hygiene purposes.

Poligen® wax types refer to pure waxes of oxidized polyethylene waxes or ethylene copolymers. Poligen® products are already emulsified waxes and are used for ready-to-formulate purposes. The oxidized ethylene polymers provide the property of emulsification and thus wax emulsions can be prepared. They are defined by their mechanical and physical properties. The chemical constitution is mainly different. Oxidized polyethylene waxes are of high hardness and higher molar mass.

Dehydol® grades are alcohol ethoxylates. Dehydol® solubilizers with a nonionic structure are soluble in polar and unpolar (mineral oil) formulations and thus provide the required properties. They are available in two types Dehydol® LS grades (C12-14 fatty alcohol ethoxylates) and Dehydol® LT grades (C12-18 fatty alcohol ethoxylates). Both ranges are nonionic surfactants. They are alkyl polyethylene glycol ethers made from saturated native fatty alcohol. Thus their C-chain is linear and even numbered. They are available with low and medium EO-degree. They provide wetting and emulsification properties with a good soil removal property.

Pluriol® grades are polyalkylene glycols or modified (alkyl) polyalkylene glycols. Pluriol® grades offer specialized properties making them ideal for improving electroplating processes.

Luvipur® grades are organic acids with a typical pungent odor. These formic acids (weak acids) are available in several concentration grades (75%, 85%, and 99%). They are completely miscible with water and various solvents like ether, acetone, ethyl acetate, glycerol, methanol, and ethanol but are only partially soluble in benzene, toluene, and xylenes. Its main use is in home care, industrial & institutional cleaning formulations. It can be used as a neutralizer and acidifier. It dissolves and removes calcium-based scales in industrial cleaning processes and ideally, it can combine with Lutropur® MSA.
