Capitol Food Company Maltodextrin

Capitol Food Company Maltodextrin is a white powder made from corn, rice, potato starch, or wheat. It is produced by cooking the starches first, followed by the addition of acids or enzymes such as heat-stable bacterial alpha-amylase to break them down further to obtain maltodextrin. This highly processed plant product is easily digestible, rapidly absorbed as glucose, and may either be moderately sweet or almost flavorless.
