- Applications
CP-1000 is used as a surface treatment on most natural stone and masonry surfaces to form a water repellent surface and reduce water absorption into the substrate. CP-1000 has been developed to help prevent surface staining during application. - Limitations
Do not dilute or alter. Application temperature range 35º - 120ºF (2º - 49ºC). Protect from freezing.
May damage glass, aluminum, ceramics & glazed tile. Always protect.
Not recommended for glazed or polished surfaces.- Vertical Application
(Spray)
For best results apply a single coat of CP-1000 to a dry surface working from the bottom up. Use enough to create a 4”-6” rundown below the spray contact point.
(Brush) Minimize overlap. Brush out heavy runs and drips that do not penetrate.Porous Surface Application: Let the first application penetrate the masonry surface. Resaturate within 5 to 10 minutes.
Porous Surface Application: Apply a single coat. Apply enough material to wet the surface without creating drips puddles or rundown. DO NOT OVERAPPLY. Buff excess material as soon as possible after application.
- Horizontal Application
- Apply a single, saturating coat so that the surface stays wet for a few of minutes. Thoroughly broom out any pools or puddles that do not completely penetrate the surface. Do not let puddles stay on surface. Protect the treated surface from rain and pedestrian traffic for 4 to 6 hours after application. CP-1000 gains its water repellent properties in 24 hours.

Follow recommended coverage rate guidelines.
Marble,Travertine, Limestone most Natural Stone: 100-175 sq ft/gal
Granite: 150-200 sq ft/gal
Sandstone: 125-175 sq ft/gal
Concrete: 125-175 sq ft/gal
Fired Clay: 125-175 sq ft/gal- Installation
- Protect people, vehicles, property, plants, windows, painted surfaces, anodized aluminum and all non masonry surfaces from product, splash, spray, residue, fumes and wind drift. Make sure all caulking and seals have fully cured before application. Surfaces should be clean and free of dirt, dust, oils and other contaminants. If necessary, clean with a recommended CPI surface preparation cleaner.
- Always Test
- Each type of surface to ensure desired results. Let test area dry before inspection. Over application to dense or dark colored surfaces may produce a white film after drying. This indicates that the product was applied too heavily. Retest using higher coverage rates.
