These versatile plastic abrasives are manufactured in various hardness grades and widely used for efficient cost-effective paint removal from cars, trucks, airplanes, landing gear, equipment and painted parts. Plastic Blast Media removes paint and coatings without marring or damaging substrates. Plastic abrasives are also excellent anti-skid non-slip aggregates in flooring applications.

    PLASTI-GRIT® TYPE III: MELAMINE is a thermoset Melamine Formaldehyde, meets the specifications of Mil-P-85891A. The finished product contains no inorganic fillers and is treated with an anti-static agent. Melamine is commonly used as an abrasive, blast media & filler. Type III is the hardest, most aggressive grade of plastic media. Melamine is effective for mold cleaning, deflashing, removing tough paints & primers, and cleaning grit & grime from engines, turbines and parts.
