Macadamia species grow as small to large evergreen trees 2-12 m tall. The leaves are arranged in whorls of three to six and the flowers are produced in a long, white to pink or purple, with four tepals. The fruit is a very hard, woody, globose follicle with a pointed apex, containing one or
two seeds. Macadamia nut is a drupe, with inside an almond encased in a brownish round shell, smooth and extremely hard protected by a thin freshly covering, the husk. The macadamia nuts are every-time clustered.
