Origin
Rapeseed is grown in several areas of the world, notably Canada and Europe and can be classified into two distinct types categorized according to fatty acid composition, namely high erucic acid rapeseed oil (HEAR) and low erucic acid rapeseed oil (LEAR). The raw oil contains variable amounts of impurities, which may be undesirable and are removed by refining.
