AFCONA – 3593 is a special designed polyether modified polysiloxane. It moves very fast in defective part of coatings, and can decrease the surface tension easily, and it has good compatibility properties. Hence, it is very effective in below properties for any water-based systems:
- Excellent anti-crater behavior.
- Improved leveling.
- Fast & better substrate wetting.
- No inter-coat adhesion problems.
- Little or no foam stabilization.
Compared to other AFCONA substrate wetting agents like AFCONA-3585 and AFCONA-3588, AFCONA-3593 has shown less impact on gloss in high gloss applications, better substrate wetting, and less foam stabilization

- 0.1 – 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.2 – 0.8% based on total formulation.

AFCONA-3593 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
