- AFCONA-7472 is recommended for unsaturated polyester, PVC, epoxy, and polyurethane resin systems. In SMC, BMC, and TMC systems, AFCONA - 7472 works as an anti-separation agent between different polymers, for example between PS(polystyrene) and/or SBS(styrene butadiene rubber) and the unsaturated polyester binder.
- AFCONA-7472 also can be used as a wetting and dispersing agent for extenders and pigments. Especially with carbon black and organic pigments, it results in better tinting strength and color tone. AFCONA-7472 also has very good wetting strength to fiberglass.
- A system with good fiber wetting results in better bonding with the fiber, which leads to better mechanical strength of the final formed product.
- Note: AFCONA-7472 may become slightly hazy at temperatures below 5° C. This will not impact the performance or quality of the product.

- Incorporation
AFCONA-7472 should be incorporated in the mill base before adding the pigments. However, if used as anti-separation agent and/or fiber wetting, it can also be added after mixing.

AFCONA-7472 should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. The expiry date is indicated on the container.
