Boratherm™ SA 0080 spherical alumina particles are made from a special fusion process using high-quality ground alumina material. Boratherm™ SA grades are used in various applications because of their high thermal conductivity, heat resistance, and low thermal expansion. Due to the sphericity of the particles and the possibility to combine grades, one can obtain very high packing densities, resulting in formulations with excellent thermal conduction while maintaining low viscosity and easy application.

  • BORATHERM™ SA grades are used in formulations (thermosets and thermoplastics) for applications where excellent heat dissipation is critical to the operating and longevity of the device/component, e.g. packaging of battery-packs, plastic parts for housing of electromotors and charging units for EV’s.
  • To guarantee a consistent product quality of BORATHERM™ SA grades the chemical composition of the raw material and product particle size of the final products are closely monitored and kept within a narrow variation.
