AFCONA 3835 is a reactive polyether modified polysiloxane with methacrylate functionality that can crosslink with UV / EB systems. It averages 7 functional groups per molecule. AFCONA-3835 offers the following benefits:

  • Good leveling performance, and, after crosslinking, it gives permanent slip.
  • It is suitable for UV and EB curing systems.
  • Due to its methacrylate functionality, it also may be used for any systems that use unsaturated bond crosslinking as a primary curing reaction, such as UPE.

  • Addition and Dosage
    • 0.05 - 1.0% on total formulation. In general, under normal conditions, the dosage is 0.1 - 0.5% based on total formulation.
  • Incorporation
    • AFCONA 3835 should be added at the end of the batch preparation.
