- Product Application
ASCONIUM®-130 can be used into clear and pigmented coatings, for industrial, professional and DIY uses, especially systems based on :
- 1K or 2K Epoxy, waterborne/solventborne
- 2K PU, solventborne
- 2K Acrylic, solvenborne
- Dosage
Depending on the system, will be added during dispersion step, or will be post-added. When it replaces anticorrosion pigments, the reduced PVC should be balanced with the fillers used in the paint formulation. In 2K systems: should be added to the resin part for PU coatings, to the hardener for epoxy coatings. Indicative use dosages (% of total coating weight) :
- 1 to 2% when used as sole anticorrosion agent.
- 0.7 to 1.5% when used in synergy with other anticorrosion agents.
