1 of 18 products in this brand
Dar-Tech Portaryte® B50/10 is produced from carefully selected, very white, naturally occurring baryte. The standardized quality of Dar-Tech Portaryte® is guaranteed by means of an ISO 9001-certified quality management plan. The chemical composition of the raw material and the finished product is closely monitored, and the particle size is kept within a narrow variation. Fine grades of Dar-Tech Portaryte® fillers have been specially developed for powder coating applications. They are successfully used as an alternative for fine synthetic blanc fixe in high-gloss applications.

Product Highlights

Portaryte® micronized functional fillers are used in a broad range of applications. The most important characteristics are:

  • excellent chemical inertness (outdoor and chemical applications)
  • low level of impurities, such as transition and heavy metals
  • low content of quartz (low abrasiveness, no health issues)

Because of these characteristics, Portaryte®fillers are successfully used in an extended range of paint & coating applications such as industrial, marine and powder coatings.
Portaryte®B 50/10 have been specially developed for powder coating applications. The specially engineered particle size distribution makes it effective matting fillers for low thickness powder coatings, where standard barite fillers give higher gloss and need to be additionally combined with matting waxes to achieve the required matting.
