Suggested Uses

L-2255 is an adhesive grade polyurethane suggested for industrial laminating applications. Suitable for bonding plasticized vinyl sheet to itself and to other substrates such as rubber, wood, cardboard and textiles.

Application Method & Drying/Curing

L-2255 can be used as supplied or blended with vinyl acetate/ethylene, styrene butadiene and acrylic emulsions. The rheology of L-2255 may be modified with associative or acrylic thickeners for knife-over-roll or similar methods.

Drying/Curing

L-2255 will dry to a tack-free film in 10 minutes at 200 ºF. Heat activation will occur between 235 – 245 ºF. L-2255 may be crosslinked with polyaziridines, water dispersible polyisocyanates, epoxy silanes or low temperature melamines to increase bond strength and heat resistance.
