- HD-2001 was designed for use in textile applications that require a soft hand coupled with abrasion resistance, excellent adhesion and excellent resiliency. This versatile urethane is ideally suited for use as a finish for nylon and polyester threads and as a coating for nylon and vinyl substrates.
- HD-2001 is also suitable for textile-coating applications that require excellent low temperature flex crack resistance.
- The low melt temperature also allows HD2001 to be used as a heat-sealable coating. When properly formulated, HD2001 can be used as a coating for awning fabrics, boat cover fabrics, and other architectural fabrics.
- Application Method & Curing
HD-2001 may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions. Viscosity modification can be made with associative thickeners for application by spray, knife-over-roll, or other methods.
Curing
Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties. Do not use crosslinking agents for heat-seal coating applications.
