Dar-Tech Hauthane HD-2001

1 of 45 products in this brand
Dar-Tech Hauthane HD-2001 is a soft, aliphatic, polyester-based, waterborne polyurethane dispersion. It is a highly versatile coating and adhesive polymer. Originally designed for use in textile applications that require a soft hand coupled with abrasion resistance and excellent adhesion and resiliency, HD-2001 is also suitable for industrial laminating applications that require excellent bond strength. The low melting point temperature also allows HD-2001 to be used as a heat seal-able adhesive.

Suggested Uses
  • HD-2001 was designed for use in textile applications that require a soft hand coupled with abrasion resistance, excellent adhesion and excellent resiliency. This versatile urethane is ideally suited for use as a finish for nylon and polyester threads and as a coating for nylon and vinyl substrates.
  • HD-2001 is also suitable for textile-coating applications that require excellent low temperature flex crack resistance.
  • The low melt temperature also allows HD2001 to be used as a heat-sealable coating. When properly formulated, HD2001 can be used as a coating for awning fabrics, boat cover fabrics, and other architectural fabrics.
Application Method & Curing

HD-2001 may be used as a sole vehicle or blended with acrylic emulsions. Viscosity modification can be made with associative thickeners for application by spray, knife-over-roll, or other methods.

Curing

Typical oven drying temperatures and dwell times for aqueous coatings are sufficient to produce optimal film properties. Do not use crosslinking agents for heat-seal coating applications.
