About Us

In 1908, Thomas Sullivan, a tea importer from New York, accidentally invented the teabag. As a gimmick, Sullivan had sent potential customers small silk bags filled with tealeaves. Instead of emptying the sample bags, these potential customers simply dropped them into a teakettle. A new and thrilling discovery which brought on the production of teabags. Silk was replaced by paper. Fact: Delamine supplies the essential elements which keep the bag together when you make your favorite cup of tea. Cheers!
