- Applications
Deuteron MM 680 is primarily recommended for use in solvent-based 2-component systems (polyurethane or epoxy-resin lacquers). Beyond that, the product is also suitable for other air- and oven-drying systems.
- Dosage
The dosage to be used depends on the desired degree of gloss. It also depends on the binder and the overall formulation. As a guiding value, a concentration of 3 to 6 % in the lacquer component is recommended. The exact dosage should be determined by own trials. If (outside of our recommended use) the product were to be intended for use in a solvent-free 2-component system, a matting effect, if at all, can only be achieved with a higher addition (at least 10 %) of Deuteron MM 680.
- Processing
Deuteron MM 680 is easily dispersible. Therefore strong shear forces are not required to incorporate the agent; a rapid mixer will be sufficient. The material is also suitable for a subsequent matting or correction of finished lacquer (pigmented or unpigmented).
