- Applications
Deuteron VT 930 is suitable for use as a thickening agent and stabilizing additive for laquers, foodstuffs, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. It can be used for all aqueous coating systems and technical applications such as dispersion paints and plasters, glues, water-miscible paints, printing inks, silicate paint, as well as pigment and filler preparations. Deuteron VT 930 meets the requirements of the Food Chemical Codex (FCC), of the criteria of the EU (E415), 21 CFR § 172.695 (USA), of the JECFA Guidelines, of the European Pharmacopeia (Ph. Eur.), of the US Phar.macopeia (USP), and Japans Specifications and Stand.ards for Food Additives.
- Dosage
Depending on the requirement 0.1-0.5% calculated based on the water content. Solutions should not contain more than 1% Deuteron VT 930. Considerably higher concentrations ensure no ho.mogenous dispersion.
- Processing
Owing to its particular delivery form as a granulate, it can be dosed easily, evenly and with very little dust, which prevents clump formation. It can be incorporated with limited shear forces. The maximum viscosity is reached already after the relatively short mixing time of 5-10 minutes.
