Deuteron Wax TF

1 of 86 products in this brand
Deuteron WAX TF has been designed specifically for incorporation in lacquers and coatings using high speed stirring only. This makes the production process more economic. Deuteron WAX TF imparts excellent buff resistance and slip properties. It produces a durable, semi-gloss finish when used either alone or with silica.Application It can be used in all solvent-based lacquer systems and printing inks; both air-drying and stoving. The use of Deuteron WAX TF also leads to excellent results in powder coatings.

Applications

It can be used in all solvent-based lacquer systems and printing inks; both air-drying and stoving. The use of Deuteron-WAX TF also leads to excellent results in powder coatings.

Dosage

0,5 - 2,0 % (calculated on the complete formulation) depending on binder, application and required properties.

Processing

Because of its excellent dispersing properties Deuteron-WAX TF can be incorporated into the liquid phase with a simple stirrer. If Deuteron WAX TF has to be ground in a bead mill, attention has to be paid to the mill base temperature. The low melting point of the polyolefin can lead to agglomeration caused by high temperatures and strong solvents present in the system. If Deuteron-WAX TF has to be used in water-based systems, the wetting properties are unsatisfactory because of its hydrophobic character. We suggest to prepare a premix of Deuteron-WAX TF with glycol or with a suitable wetting agent.
