It dries to a satiny film in about 15 minutes without losing its wax characteristics or lubricity. It can be used on lightly oiled surfaces and dries to a tack-free finish. This product provides a temporary protective coating to aid in the prevention of corrosion during part storage and shipment.

E-LAQ 525 is an acrylic lacquer that is ideal for coating metal surfaces or metals that have been blackened with EPI's Insta-Blak or Ultra-Blak finishes. The only caveat is that it should not be used on copper or copper alloys. The most notable of these advantages are its depth and clarity, as well as its environmentally friendly and non-flammable chemical composition. Baking improves hardness and durability.
