Duocel® Carbon (RVC) Foam, also known as reticulated vitreous carbon (RVC) foam is a skeletal material with a rigid, highly porous and permeable structure; all Duocel foams have controlled density of material per unit volume. The matrix of cells and ligaments is completely repeatable, regular, and uniform throughout the RVC foam material.

Duocel® Copper Foam is a rigid, three-dimensional network of interconnected copper ligaments that form cells with open pores. Duocel® Copper Foam contains completely solid ligaments (as opposed to sintered or hollow ligaments) which makes it stronger and more thermally conductive. Its properties are fully customizable, which allows its performance characteristics to be optimized for a broad range of applications. It is commonly used in applications that benefit from very high thermal conductivity and surface area, and from the nature-mimicking morphology of the rigid cellular structure.

Duocel® Metal Foam is a celled structure made up of solid ligaments and permeable pores. This matrix of cells and ligaments is fully customizable and can be optimized to meet the performance requirements of a broad range of applications. Metal foam, sometimes referred to as foamed metal, is commonly used in applications that benefit from a very high surface area and from the nature-mimicking morphology of the rigid cellular structure.

Duocel® Ceramic Foam is a skeletal material with a rigid, highly porous and permeable structure; all Duocel foams have controlled density of material per unit volume. Our most popular ceramic foam is silicon carbide. The matrix of cells and ligaments is completely repeatable, regular, and uniform throughout the entirety of the material.

Duocel® Aluminum Foam is a rigid, three-dimensional network of interconnected aluminum ligaments that form cells with open pores. Duocel® Aluminum Foam contains completely solid ligaments (as opposed to hollow ligaments) and its properties are fully customizable, which allows its performance characteristics to be optimized for a broad range of applications. Aluminum is ERG’s most popular Duocel® foam and is commonly used in applications that benefit from a lightweight structure, very high surface area, and from the nature-mimicking morphology of the rigid cellular structure.
