Evonik 1,2-Pentandiol is a versatile alcohol compound with multiple applications. It serves as a fundamental building block for the manufacture of agrochemicals and skin care formulations. AEROSIL® R 8200 is a structure modified hydrophobic silica grade treated with HMDS (Hexamethyldisilazane). It is characterized by an extremely low thickening effect and high compacted bulk density. Its high hydrophobicity makes it suitable as a defoamer silica.

SIPERNAT® 250 PC silicon dioxide provides an alternative to polyethylene beads for delivering exfoliation to skincare formulations. As a mildly friable silica-based particle, SIPERNAT® 250 PC silicon dioxide delivers a gentle yet substantive tactile experience, making this product the ideal choice for sensitive applications such as facial scrubs.

SIPERNAT® 2200 PC is an eco-friendly solution. As a micro-granular silica with spherical particles in the range of 320 µm and low fine content, it is used to replace polyethylene beads in exfoliating skincare formulations such as shower gels and body cleansers. In addition to its scrubbing effect, its sponge-like structure can also transport liquid ingredients into the cosmetic formulation. Its microbiological quality is guaranteed through regular and stringent monitoring.

AEROSIL® R 812 S is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with HMDS (Hexamethyldisilazane). It is even more hydrophobic than AEROSIL® R 812 and convenient for stabilizing a defoamer and well suitable as a component of foam control agents.

SIPERNAT® 22 S is a finely milled, hydrophilic silica. It is primarily used as a free-flow agent in other applications. SIPERNAT® 22 S can also be used in-situ hydrophobized in defoamers. The use of an alkaline catalyst is recommended.

AEROSIL® 380 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 380 m²/g.

SPHERILEX® 10 PC significantly improves skin feel and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It also has a mattifying effect and helps reduce and eliminate tackiness in formulations such as sunscreen. In color cosmetics, the product provides a unique silky-smooth, non-drying skin feel. It can be used in a wide range of applications, such as powder and lipstick formulations, to give a silky matte look.

SIPERNAT® 22 PC is an eco-friendly solution. SIPERNAT® 380 is an ultra-fine particle size precipitated silica with applicability in many markets. Its particle size and distribution are based on a unique process that results in a variety of effects. SIPERNAT® 380 provides excellent free flow and anti-caking properties in powdered foods.

AEROSIL® R 202 is a hydrophobic fumed silica grade, treated with a polydimethylsiloxane. This product can be used in defoamer formulations for sedimentation stabilization and due to its high hydrophobicity as defoaming component.

AEROSIL® R 812 is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with HMDS (Hexamethyldisilazane). It can be used for sedimentation stabilization and due to its high hydrophobicity as defoaming agent.

ZEOFREE® 600 LA is a synthetic calcium silicate produced through a precipitation process. This multifunctional calcium silicate is an outstanding soft-focus agent that also improves flow properties and prevents caking in moisture-sensitive mixtures. Calcium silicate made by Evonik combines an exceptionally high absorption capacity with a very pleasant, silky skin feel.

AEROSIL® 300 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 300 m²/g.

AEROSIL® R 972 is hydrophobic fumed silica grade treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recomended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

SIPERNAT® 50 S is a hydrophilic, finely milled silica. Besides its application as flow aid and highly effective anticaking agent it also may serve as carrier of especially high absorptive capacity in case particle fineness is required.

AEROSIL® R 974 is hydrophobic fumed silica grades treated with DDS (Dichlordimethylsilane). The moderate hydrophobicity of these AEROSIL® products is suited for defoaming properties in the presence of appropriate hydrophobic liquids. They are recommended for improving the sedimentation stability of defoamer dispersions as well.

SIPERNAT® 9000 PC is composed of exceptionally sturdy, round-edged hydrated silica particles and is therefore the preferred choice for formulations with a long-lasting scrubbing effect. The large SIPERNAT® 9000 PC particles are the preferred choice for strong desquamation or as a sensory indicator when combined with smaller particles for cleaning.

SIPERNAT® 50 is a hydrophilic, coarse silica with the highest absorptive capacity and a high surface area. It is capable of transforming any liquid solution, water- or oil-based systems into dry powder concentrates of up to 75%.

SIPERNAT® 28 is a very finely milled, hydrophilic silica. It is primarily used as a thickening or free-flow agent in other applications.

SIPERNAT® 500 LS is a very finely ground silica with high surface area, low drying loss and particulary high absorbency.

AEROSIL® R 805 is a high thickening fumed silica surface treated with OCTMO.

AEROSIL® 200 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 200 m²/g.

AEROSIL® R 816 fumed silica powder offers an alternative technology to stabilize oil/water emulsions. Due to the special surface modification of the silica both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties are introduced in just one material. This enables AEROSIL® R 816 to enrich at oil/water interfaces and thereby stabilize oil droplets in a continuous water phase by the Pickering effect.Furthermore, AEROSIL® R 816 brings structure to the continuous water phase and increases its viscosity which limits the mobility of the oil droplets, thereby providing for even more emulsion stability.

AEROSIL® 130 is a fumed silica with a high specific surface area, making it an excellent thickening and reinforcing agent for a wide range of applications. This product is particularly well-suited for use in adhesives, coatings, and composites, as it can improve mechanical strength and increase the durability of the final product. AEROSIL® 130 is a hydrophilic fumed silica with a specific surface area of 130 m2/g.
