Dynasylan® A is also known as TEOS (tetraethoxysilane), is the ethyl ester of orthosilicic acid. This colorless, low-viscosity liquid boasts a SiO content of 28.5%. Utilization involves acid- or alkali-catalyzed hydrolysis, leveraging all four ethoxy groups for reaction and earning it tetrafunctional status. Hydrolysis initiates silanol group formation, which further condenses to establish robust siloxane bonds (-Si-O-Si-).
