Applications

Traditional use:
In folk medicine, cardamom is used for gastrointestinal complaints and loss of appetite due to its digestive properties.


In food:
Cardamom extract gives food and drink a fresh, fruity, spicy and hot taste. It is often used as a flavoring in sweets, liqueurs, rice and meat dishes and other dishes.

In food supplements:
Because of its positive effects on the formation of gastric juices, cardamom is also suitable in food supplements.

In cosmetics:

The CO2-extracted essential oil from cardamom fruits has an intensely sweet aromatic-resinousand slightly spicy fragrance, so it can be used in perfumes with an oriental note. Due to its antimicrobial effect it is also suitable for the preservation of cosmetic products.
