Ottopol KX-101 is a hydroxyl-functional cationic acrylic solution polymer that crosslinks with polyisocyanates and epoxy silanes at room temperature. With the combination of polyisocyanate and epoxy silane, the fastest and most resistant coating can be formulated. We recommend a maximum of 11.5% epoxy silane and 11.5% polyisocyanate based on solids. This product undergoes ambient curing very quickly, and in 15 minutes the film will have water resistance. Allowing the film to cure for four hours will result in a film that has over 100 double rubs of acetone resistance. Detergents and cleaners will not remove this film, and the final dried film resists staining.

Ottopol SF-49 is a self-crosslinking acrylic emulsion that can be formulated into a corrosion-resistant primer or semi-gloss paint. The dry film has outstanding water resistance and will not blush even after prolonged exposure to water.

Ottopol M-49 is an emulsion polymer with excellent adhesion properties. It has been neutralized with dimethylethanolamine, which yields excellent pigment wetting. The exclusion of ammonia and neutralization with DMEA do not promote the tarnishing of metallic pigments. This product has been proven to have good aging stability and compatibility with additives and other resin systems.

Ottopol 151 is an anionic acrylic emulsion with a low glass transition temperature of -25°C. It showed excellent water resistance after a 4 hour ambient cure of a wet, 25 mil thick film. This product is mainly used for elastomeric roof coatings.

With the combination of polyisocyanate and epoxy silane, the fastest and most resistant coating can be formulated. We recommend a maximum of 20% epoxy silane and 20% polyisocyanate based on solids. This product undergoes ambient curing very quickly, and in less than one hour the film will have water resistance. Allowing the film to cure for two hours will result in a film that has over 100 double rubs of acetone resistance. Detergents and cleaners will not remove this film, and the final dried film resists staining.
